I have fine textured, shoulder length hair that tends to develop an oily and sticky scalp if I go longer than 1 day without washing. I tried Boldify's Revitalize + Refresh Scalp Scrub as a pre-wash treatment to help clarify, exfoliate and balance my scalp.
Ingredients include the company's fast dissolving SugarX to gently exfoliate the scalp, Kaolin ClayX to purify the scalp and absorb excess sebum, Bold Complex which aids in scalp health and ScalposineX to help balance the scalp and reduce oil and flakes along with SignatureX Fragrance comprised of bergamot, sage, jasmine and honeydew.
I used 2 fingers to scoop out a dollop of scalp scrub. Next I worked the product into a lather in my hands before working it into wet hair. Then I spent at least 1 minute massaging the scrub into my scalp to breakdown oil, product build up and sweat. You should see the product foaming so you know it's working. Rinse thoroughly and follow with shampoo and conditioner.
I use this scrub weekly since I frequently use dry shampoo and other hair products to style my hair.
I thought the scrub did a great job freshening my scalp, which felt clean and not oily or sticky. My scalp also wasn't overly dry and just felt very balanced. I especially liked the light herbal and floral scent which gives you a nice spa-like experience while you're working the scrub. My hair also looks more full and less stringy and greasy. I would definitely recommend adding this scalp scrub to your haircare regime.
